Chuck A. was the first African American to become a regular member of the Alcholics Anonymous support group in Evansville. He says he "grew up in AA," especially since he joined when he was in his twenties (20's). He has been clean and sober for thirty (30) plus years, and he continues to give freely to those who need a helping hand in recovery. Chuck says there is NO excuse for not getting help in today's community. Young, Black, Women, or whatever the minority, he says "this disease is fatal and more powerful than any prejudice".
